P&O’s latest addition to their fleet features a networked AV system spanning 22 venues and 18 decks.
A dedicated TCP/IP backbone was installed to handle all AV components ranging from IPTV, media playback, AMX, system monitoring and audio distribution. There are three main performance venues each with state of the art theatre production systems. Eight restaurants, Bars, Pool Decks, a Casino and a Health Spa complete the list of other venues across the ship which are all networked for audio distribution and monitoring purposes.
Faults in any venue will report back to a master control room. Portable users can securely log in to control interface for any venue from dedicate LAN ports in ach venue using a laptop for remote access to the system. All of the main venues feature AMX integration over and above the control already provided by the signal processing software.
Audio from each venue can be routed back to the master control room for monitoring and broadcast across the rest of the ship.
